About Us

Not only being named the 10th best new private golf course in 1997 by Golf Digest,
Stonebridge prides ourself on our year-round beautiful greens managed by our Golf
Course Superintendent, Matt Fitzpatrick, and our on-staff Golf Pro, Rob Allen, and
Assistant Pro, Jered Thompson, who are both available for private instruction.

                                   A Concise Biography of Rob Allen
Rob Allen has worked as an assistant pro at the Horshoe Bend in Alpharetta, GA, Bear
Creek Golf Club in Hilton Head, SC, Augusta Country Club in Augusta, GA. Rob has
been the Stonebridge Pro since we opened in 1997.

Rob has won 7 Georgia PGA Events. He has played in the National Club Pro
Championship 5 times (best finish is 28th). Rob won the Pro-Assistant Championship in
2001 with our former Assistant Pro, Chris Dixon, where they had come in 2nd on two
other occacions.

                            A Concise Biography of Jered Thompson
Jered, originally from Bainbridge, came to Albany in 2001 to attend Darton College.
While at Darton, Jered competed on their Golf Team in 2001 and 2002. He was
runner-up at the 2001 NJCAA Region Tournament. After completeting his Associates
Degree, Jered began Georgia Southwestern in Americus also competing on their Golf
Team. He placed T-3 in the NAIA Region XIII Championship and placed in the top 10 at
the NAIS SSAC conference championship.

Jered joined the Stonebridge team in 2003. In August of 2006, he passed the Playing
Ability Test allowing him to register for the PGA Apprenctice Program.
